Dimraeth Guides
Getting Started is the preparation layer for a Dimraeth character. It covers the opening route, the first build decisions, co-op ownership, and the point where you are ready to move into the combat and world guides.
§What Getting Started should solve#
A new player has four immediate problems: choosing a workable character, surviving the opening fights, understanding which progress belongs to the character, and finding a dependable route out of the starter area. Handle those in order. Build optimization can wait until the basic loop feels predictable.
The opening is easier when you treat every new system as part of one routine. Fight with stamina in reserve, collect materials along a route you can retrace, return to a known hub, then adjust equipment and spells before leaving again. That routine supports solo play and a shared world equally well.
- Choose a play pattern
- Learn the meter loop
- Establish a safe return route
- Confirm the active campaign world
§Read these four guides in order#
The sequence below stays inside the Getting Started section. Each page answers the next question a new player is likely to have, so you can move through it without jumping into unrelated crafting or region overviews too early.
1. Getting Started Guide
Core resources, the first-session checklist, and the habits that keep the opening manageable.
2. Character Creation
Race, class, archetype, and a practical way to choose without relying on an unstable tier list.
3. Co-op
Hosting, player limits, and the split between portable character progress and world-bound campaign progress.
4. Starter Walkthrough
A spoiler-light route from the Lost Caverns through Earlwood toward the Wildwood.
- Start with controls, meters, and the first-session checklist
- Choose race, class, and an early build direction
- Set expectations for host-world and character progress
- Follow the starter route into Earlwood and Wildwood
§Your first readiness checkpoint#
You are ready to leave the beginner section when you can finish a short fight without emptying stamina, explain what concentration does for your spell use, return to Earlwood or the stronghold without getting lost, and tell a co-op partner which progress will remain in the host world.
If one of those still feels unclear, stay with the matching guide. The goal is not to clear every optional objective. The goal is to remove the mistakes that repeatedly cost time: overcommitting in combat, carrying an unfocused inventory, changing too many build pieces at once, and advancing a shared world without the regular host.
- One defensive action remains available after attacking
- The five-spell bar has distinct jobs
- The return route is clear
- The group agrees on a campaign host
§Where to go after the overview#
Move to Combat when enemy patterns or spell choices are the main problem. Move to World when route planning, quests, stronghold progress, or pets are pulling your attention. Move to Items and Crafting when materials and equipment have become the bottleneck. Those sections remain in the main navigation so this overview can stay focused on the beginner sequence.
- Combat: timing, bosses, and spells
- World: map, stronghold, quests, and pets
- Items and Crafting: equipment, stations, food, and alchemy
§FAQ#
Which guide should I open first?
Open Getting Started Guide first. It explains the meter loop, route order, persistence split, and first-session checklist.
When should I read the Combat section?
Move there after the opening loop is clear and you need deeper help with timing, spell roles, or bosses.
Do I need to finish every beginner page before exploring?
No. Use the page that solves the problem currently blocking your run, then return to the sequence when a new system appears.
