§Evaluate the job#

Before replacing an item, name the problem it solves. More damage can be useful, but losing stamina comfort, range control, or survivability may make the full build weaker.

• Check the active attack pattern
• Check stamina and defense needs
• Check spell and status synergy

§Rarity and upgrades#

The Steam page confirms equipment rarity and upgrade systems. A reviewed community page describes a broader tier and slot structure, though exact labels and values can move during Early Access.

• Use live tooltip comparisons
• Upgrade gear you expect to keep
• Avoid assuming color alone decides the best item

§Named sets and old tables#

Named set information from pre-release references is useful for discovery, not for a permanent best-in-slot list. Confirm every set effect in the current client before building around it.

• Record the game build
• Test whether the bonus triggers
• Keep tier-list conclusions on internal hold

§Run a replacement test#

Write down what the current item does for the build, then compare the candidate against that job. If the new item trades defense for damage, test whether fights end early enough to justify the lost safety. If it improves a spell or status plan, confirm that the effect appears in the encounters you actually play.

Use one familiar route for comparisons. Random enemy mixes and different group sizes can make a weak item look strong or a useful item look inconsistent.

§Spend upgrades with an exit plan#

Upgrade equipment that is solving a repeated problem and is likely to remain in the loadout. Hold rare materials when the item is only a temporary stat increase or when its set interaction remains unconfirmed. Recheck the live cost before committing because pre-release tables can drift.
